Fungora is an AI mushroom identification app for Android that helps you identify a photographed mushroom. Take a new photo or choose an image from your gallery and let Fungora analyze its visible features and prepare a detailed identification report.

For more visual context, you can add up to two optional views: the gills or underside, and the stem. Fungora analyzes the submitted images together.
Fungora aims to identify the photographed mushroom at the lowest reliable taxonomic rank supported by the available images. A result may be at species level or at a broader taxonomic level.
When available in the identification report, Fungora can provide:
Identification confidence is a value for that individual result. It is not a measure of overall product accuracy.
When the report includes them, Fungora can describe the features used to understand the identified taxon. These fields appear only when the report has that information.
Cap characteristics included in the report.
Gills, pores, or another hymenium structure, when the report includes it.
Stem characteristics included in the report.
Ring and volva details, when the report includes them.
Flesh characteristics included in the report.
Spore-print information about the taxon, when the report includes it. Fungora does not ask you to make a spore print.
Reported odor and bruising or color-change notes, when available.
Other reported diagnostic notes, together with a morphology description and measurements when the report includes them.
When relevant information is available, the mushroom identification report may include:
Where the identified taxon is known to occur.
The material or surface associated with the taxon, when reported.
Trees linked with the taxon, when the report includes them.
Season or fruiting period, when reported.
Reported geographic distribution of the identified taxon.
Ecology and ecological role, when the report includes them.
When available, Fungora can show similar taxa. A look-alike entry can include a common name, a scientific name, information that helps distinguish it, and a risk classification.
Look-alike risk information may be shown as Inedible, Toxic, Deadly, or Unknown. An unknown or absent risk does not mean the photographed mushroom is safe.
Visual similarity does not establish that a photographed mushroom is safe to eat.
When the report supports it, Fungora can display an edibility classification for the identified taxon. These labels describe report information. They are not a decision to eat the photographed mushroom.
Taxon information indicates an edible classification.
The mushroom is classified as inedible. Inedible does not necessarily mean toxic.
The taxon is associated with toxicity.
The taxon is associated with potentially fatal toxicity.
Available information does not support a reliable edibility classification. Unknown does not mean safe.
AI mushroom identification can be wrong. Edible and toxic mushrooms can look very similar, and misidentification can have serious or fatal consequences. An “Edible” classification describes information associated with the identified taxon — it does not confirm that the photographed mushroom is safe to eat. Never consume a wild mushroom based solely on an app identification. Consult a qualified mushroom expert or mycologist before eating a wild mushroom.
When available, Fungora can provide a human-risk level, ingestion risk, contact risk, and poisoning symptoms for the identified taxon.
This information is educational and is not medical advice, first-aid guidance or a poisoning-response service.
Depending on the available report data, Fungora may also provide:
A morphology description and measurements, when included.
Reported conservation information about the taxon. It is not legal advice.
Descriptive cultivation information, when the report includes it.
Reported economic significance of the taxon, when available.
Facts included in the identification report.
Culinary information describes documented taxon knowledge. It is not a recommendation to taste, prepare or eat the photographed mushroom.

Yes. Photo identification is Fungora’s core function. You can use the camera or the gallery, and you can add optional photos of the underside and the stem.
No. Fungora aims for the lowest reliable taxonomic rank supported by the visual evidence. A result may be broader than species level, and identification may sometimes not be possible.
Fungora can display an edibility classification associated with the identified taxon — Edible, Inedible, Toxic, Deadly or Unknown — when supported by the report. This does not determine that the photographed mushroom is safe to eat. Never consume a wild mushroom based solely on an app identification.
No. In Fungora’s classification, Inedible is distinct from Toxic and Deadly. A mushroom can be classified as inedible without being classified as toxic.
No. “Edible” describes information associated with the identified taxon. It does not confirm that the photographed specimen has been correctly identified or is safe to consume.
When available, Fungora can show similar taxa together with distinguishing information and risk classifications, including Toxic or Deadly where supported by the report.
No. Fungora provides identification and educational safety information. It is not a medical or poisoning-response service.
